HISTORY
As soon as you glimpse the Deogarh Mahal, you can see that its rulers must have been serious players in the Mewar aristocracy, their magnificent fort a fitting stronghold for one of its sixteen “umraos” – the most senior feudal barons attending on the Maharana of Udaipur.
Even so, you might not necessarily guess that the Rawats of Deogarh (a local title equivalent to “Raja”) once ruled over the fourth largest jagir in the whole of Rajasthan.
DEOGARH MAHAL
Deogarh Mahal – Luxury Heritage Hotel in Rajasthan was converted into a Hotel by the Deogarh family members. A part of the Mahal is still occupied by them.
The family is closely associated with the hotel and personally supervise and manage it.
The care is reflected in the minutest details which have made Deogarh a benchmark of Heritage Hospitality in Rajasthan. Every guest here is special and is treated with the customary Mewari hospitality.
FORT SEEGH SAGAR
After much anticipation the illustrious Deogarh family have finished converting one of their forts into an exceptionally luxurious villa, and created the magical ‘Fort Seegh Sagar’.
This island fortress is truly awe-inspiring; sitting in the middle of a lake (monsoon dependent but currently surrounded by water) it can only be reached by boat (monsoon dependent, otherwise by dirt road) or by a small bridge and is set amidst a dramatic rocky landscape.
KITCHEN
The food is certainly the best in the hotel. Home-grown fruits and vegetables, in-house dairy products and oils ensure a delicious and distinct freshness. You can also serve typical mewari cuisine with traditional hospitality.
The hotel also offers delicious seasonal jams and juices from fruits grown around the Mahal. Orange jam, plum and mixed fruits, some of the seasonal jams are also available for sale. Gala dances with folk music and dance are also organized.
WELLNESS
Swimming pool and jacuzzi - A swimming pool and a heated jacuzzi have recently been built in the Deogarh area. The swimming pool will soon be solar heated. Ayurveda Massage - A special team from Kerala is available for a relaxing and therapeutic Ayurveda massage. A new dining room was built exclusively for the FIT guests. All terraces offer a wonderful view of the routes and lakes, as one sun bathes, reads or the sun interrupts.

The hotel has 3 Royal Suites, 2 Studio Suites, 23 Deluxe Suites, 22 Deluxe Rooms. Each room is comfortably elegant, with attached bathrooms equipped with modern amenities.
