The palace was conceived as a summer residence for Dom Pedro of Braganza king consort and husband of Queen Maria I. The work on the palace began 1747.

Timetable of gale dinner with entertainment
I`m inviting you to make a journey to the XVIIIth century and find out the magnificent life of the
Royal Court in those days, at the summer palace of the Portuguese Royal Family.

19:00 The guests arrive
The guests will be welcome by the Master of Ceremonies, who will escort  the group. 
Champaign reception with Canapés in the Ambassadors’ Hall

19:45   Equestre show with 14 horses, lasting 20 minutes 

20:30   Gala-Dinner in the Throne Hall 
The guests are then entertained by musicians with Harp, Flute and Cello playing music from the
XVIII century dressed in a wardrobe of the same century. The performance will occur during
dinner with occasional intermissions.     

22:00   End 

 

The equestrian show is performed by The Portuguese School of Equestrian 

 

The historical entertainment is provide by Animador cultural
