THE VILLAGE
The “Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello” is a Relais de Charme inside an ancient settlement with a castle nestled among the green hills of the province of Parma.
Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello is part of the fortified structure of Tabiano Castle (XI century).
It was a military fortification owned by Marquises Pallavicino, one of the most powerful Ghibellins' family of that time.
It has experienced many important historical vicissitudes and been a strategic defense point of via Franchigena and of the close salt pans.
The majestic Castle built on a rock that looking over the village and the developped defensing system are a witness: it is still possible to watch the guarding tower (XIII century), that was the main entrance of the castle, thanks to its lift bridge, the north and south round bastions (XII century) and the defensing surrounding walls.
Apartments, suites and large rooms are located within both the guarding tower and the ancient principal manor and offer all modern comforts.
Every lodging has ancient furniture, with coordinated tapestry, hand painted ceramics, whirlpool bathes, flat screen TVs, air conditioner and fast Internet connection. Suites and apartments have also an equipped kitchen.

THE SPA
We have two wellness centers; one located in a natural cave and the other in a house in the woods in the secret garden under the walls. Both are equipped with turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna, sensory shower and relaxation area. The main building also houses several rooms for massages and different types of treatments for singles and couples - see sections massages and treatments.
APARTMENTS
Rooms from 60 to 80 square meters and 4/6 beds, with one or two bathrooms, living room and kitchen, possibility of additional beds, ideal for families and longer stays.
Services: 2 pools, one is 15 m deep and the other is round and whirlpool. A wellness centre, built from a big natural cavern, with turkish bath, whirlpool bath, sauna, relax space. In this ancient manor is also possible to enjoy traditional and shatzu massages, reflexology and beauty treatments.
