The event is organised by the External Affairs Department of the National Congress palace (Konstantin Palace) and the Baltic Star hotel.  

Konstantin Palace Strelna
The palace and park ensemble in Strelna, now called “The National Congress Palace” is located on the picturesque coast of the Gulf of Finland, far from the city vanity, in the green space of St.-Petersburg. It has been completed in 1715. Peter the Great had intended to build a suburban residence here. Konstantin palace is the Dominating structure of the complex. It is the former residence of grand dukes of the House of Romanovs and the revived monument of the Russian architecture of the XVIII-th century. Today within the palace expositions Russian painting, decorative and applied arts of XVIII-XX centuries including the world-famous collection of M. Rostropovich and G. Vishnevskaya are widely presented. At the grottos of Konstantin Palace wine cellars with one of the greatest collection of elite wines in the world are placed. The palace is surrounded by the park, extending to the coast of the Gulf of Finland.

Timetable of suggested gale dinner with entertainment
17:30 The guests are gathering in the Lobby of the Baltic Star Hotel.  
Welcome-drink at the lobby-bar of the hotel. The group of artists meets the guests. A musician playing the harp. 19:00 The guests are being escorted through the palace park to the palace accompany by the artists. The guests walk through the Lower terrace of the Palace on a red carpet which lies on a path of the park. Photo shoot with the artists near the fountains.

19:20 Lower terrace 
The guests meet Peter the Great and Catherine who come to the moor by boat through the central canal and are received by cannon shots. Peter the Great invites the guests to go to the parade-ground in front of the palace. The guests go up the staircase through the arcade to the parade-ground. There they meet the military orchestra in historical uniforms. Military musical pageant. Peter the Great greets the guests and invites them to the palace. Guests leave there coats at the cloakroom. 

The Marble Hall

20:00 The guests go up the central staircase in accompany of Peter the Great, Catherine and their retinue. 8 ballet dancers in historical costumes greet the guests and escort them to the Marble hall. The artists show the classical and historical turns, invite Peter, his retinue and some of the guests to participate in the dance.

20:30 The guests are invited to the Blue Hall. Gala-dinner “A la Russ”. Peter and Catherine are sitting on armchairs in the front.

Musical accompaniment by “Catherine the Great” classical orchestra and theatrical sketches by royal retinue are continued during the evening.

22:00 After dinner the guests are invited to the Upper Terrace of the palace to see a firework show of 5 to 7 minutes, arranged in the park. Return to the hotel

History
The establishment of a palace and park ensemble in Strelna has been completed in 1715. Peter the Great intended to build a suburban residence here. The construction of the Great Strelna Palace was started with the project of N. Michetti in 1720, but in 1725 after the death of Peter the Great the works were suspended. In 1797 Strelna receives the status of the principality and acquires a new owner, the Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich. He began to reconstruct the Konstantin Palace with the help of the architects A. Voronikhin and Luigi Rusca in order to preserve the historical appearance of the building in memory of his great ancestor. As a general inspector of the Russian cavalry guard, he conducted parades and maneuvers of his regiments at the square.

The National Congress Palace is a unique complex, which combines the functions of a State residence, modern congress centre, museum and cultural reserve.
