HISTORY
Palazzo Contarini Corfù was built at the end of the 1300s, while in the early 1600s the second Palazzo, known as "dalle Scrigni" , was erected as an extension of Palazzo Contarini Corfù . Until 1830 Palazzo Contarini Corfù dal Scrigni was owned by the Contarini family. Since 1890 Palazzo Contarini Corfù from the Scrigno family was purchased by the Rocca family.
DESCRIPTION
The palace fortress overlooking the Grand Canal, the stretch between the Museum of Ca 'Rezzonico and the Accademia Bridge, where Venice reveals herself in all her splendor.
ARRIVING
Arriving on foot, by gondola or by motorboat, you can directly access Palazzo Rocca for an exclusive foundation on the Rio di San Trovaso (West side of the Palace) with a water access or even via Canal Grande thanks to a private jetty, through a wide inside courtyard and a typical gothic entrance hall you go up to the Noble Floor through a splendid vaulted staircase, you will be welcomed in the halls furnished in ancient 18th century style, ready to bring you in a romantic and suggestive atmosphere of other times as in the ancient Venetian splendour.
